ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dorelia Ngomba
As a French-Congolese woman, I grew up in a blended family, amidst multiple realities, multiple legacies, and many silences.
It was after my baptism in 2012 that I embarked on a journey into the heart of my family history. A journey that was sometimes uncomfortable, often overwhelming, but necessary.
HÉRITAGE (Legacy) was born from a personal conviction: we cannot transform what we refuse to look at.
This experience led me to create HÉRITAGE: a tool to enable everyone to retrace their family history, to highlight what deserves to be preserved, and to identify what needs to be healed, restored, or discontinued.
My desire is for this book to help restore families, to free up conversation on subjects that have long remained taboo, and to allow everyone to build a healthier legacy for future generations.
Because we are not condemned to repeat what we have received: we have the power to choose what we transmit.
